Darius “Deezy” Hilliard is a 21-year-old student who will graduate in June from CHA—Central. His plans for the future include pursuing a career in music and having his own record label.

His hobbies include rapping, writing, listening to music and playing basketball. His biggest influences are Eminem and Lil Wayne.

Deezy says he will be the next Covenant Idol because “the competition isn’t ready.”

He will be rapping an original song, “Despicable Me.”

Martin is a 22-year-old singer who lives at Covenant House. His plans for the future include attending Specs Howard School of Media Arts for radio.

His hobbies include acting, drawing, singing and sculpting. His biggest influences are Al Green, Tina Turner, Anita Baker and God.

Martin says he will be the next Covenant Idol because he’s “got the soul.”

He will be singing Al Green’s song, “Let’s Stay Together.”

Emily is a 17-year-old freshman at CHA—Southwest. Her plans for the future include going to college in Florida to study music.

Her hobbies include singing, dancing and hanging out with friends and family. Her musical inspiration is Alicia Keys.

Emily says she’ll be the next Covenant Idol because she’s “got the talent.”

Emily will be singing Alicia Keys’ hit song, “Superwoman.”

Seventeen year old Domonique Price is a senior at CHA Central. She will graduate this June. After graduation, she has plans to join the Navy. In her free time, Domonique enjoys hanging out with her friends and choreographing dances.

Domonique’s biggest inspiration is her grandmother.

She says that she and Liszae will be the Covenant Idol winners because their dance is “something you’ll want to see.”

“It’s not boring, I promise!” she says.
